CANVAS · 6 min

Add your thoughts while reading a PDF.

Keep the original and add handwriting, highlights and explanations.

01

Open and read the material

Choose Import PDF on the home screen. Read page by page and start by marking important passages. Canvas adds annotations over the original; it does not edit existing sentences or tables like a word processor.

02

Separate highlights from notes

Highlight passages you want to revisit; use pen or text for questions. Two or three key passages and one question can be more helpful for review than coloring the entire page.

03

Use the laser when explaining

Point to a location with dot or line lasers while presenting or reading together. Laser marks differ from permanent writing. Focus mode reduces surrounding interface elements so you can concentrate on the document.

04

Keep the document and annotations together

Keep an .artigo file to continue editing. Export a PDF including your annotations when sharing. Open the exported file to verify its pages and marks before sending it.
